Let’s get lost in a book. Together.

We are Illuminated Digital, a consumer digital media start-up, and our mission is to re-invent the book.

But why would anyone want to do that? Oddly enough, we are driven by our love of that high that comes from getting lost in a book. And we want more. We think a new medium can amplify that experience, enabling even more powerful storytelling that transports us, inspires us, and uplifts us. And most importantly, puts us in the shoes of others, instilling empathy and understanding. 

 

To realize this vision, we’ll soon be launching a new social publishing platform called Beautiful Books, featuring a new, media-rich digital book. We call this new medium a B-book. Using powerful tools in our app, storytellers and creators will craft B-books that open up new creative expression not offered by other platforms. In turn, B-book readers will experience more immersive stories where getting lost in a book becomes even more potent and elevated.

We plan on shipping a beta of Beautiful Books on the iPad soon, with a version for the Apple Vision Pro (🤯) next year. If you are a fellow traveler who wants to know more, we want you involved.
